In the pool are 5 players from each team, and both teams must have at least 2 men and 2 women in the water at all times.

Each 2-hour session is split into two parts: the first half focuses on building and refining skills through guided instruction and drills, while the second half gives you the chance to put those skills into action with game play.

Join us for our Badminton League this season and get ready for some fast-paced fun! Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or you’ve been smashing birdies for years, there’s a skill level that’s just right for you.

How it works: Teams and Individual players will register in an "Open" skill division and play in a practice ladder in week one. Teams and Individual players will then be placed into an appropriate skill division based on the ladder format results from week 1 to ensure the best possible experience! First official league games will commence in week two!

Each player will play a singles match against both players of the opposing team (first to 11). The fifth game will be a doubles match (first to 11, best 2 out of 3 sets).

Join us for our Badminton League this season and get ready for some fast-paced fun! Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or you’ve been smashing birdies for years, there’s a skill level that’s just right for you.

Expect great games, friendly competition, and plenty of chances to stay active while meeting fellow badminton lovers along the way.

How it works: Teams and Individual players will register in an "Open" skill division and play in a practice ladder in week one. Teams and Individual players will then be placed into an appropriate skill division based on the ladder format results from week 1 to ensure the best possible experience! First official league games will commence in week two!

Each player will play a singles match against both players of the opposing team (first to 11). The fifth game will be a doubles match (first to 11, best 2 out of 3 sets).

Example of Team A vs Team B:
A1 vs B1 (first to 11)
A2 vs B2 (first to 11)
A2 vs B1 (first to 11)
A1 vs B2 (first to 11)
A1/A2 vs A1/B2 (first to 11, best 2 out of 3)

Register as a team of two, or register as an individual and we will place you on a team!

🏆EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Players are required to bring their own badminton racquets. OSSC will provide the nets and birdies for play on-site.

📅# OF GAMES: 8 Games (1 Ladder Week + 5 Season Games + 2 Playoff Games)

🕖GAME TIMES: Start times are allocated between 6:00pm and 8:30pm. OSSC makes every effort to ensure teams receive a mix of game times and locations (where applicable). However, many factors including number of registrations, permit cancellations and facility changes can impact both location availability and timeslots.

BYE DATES: No bye dates.

SCHEDULE: Schedules will be posted online 2 days before your league is set to start.

TEAM ROSTERS: Team Rosters for players who registered individually will be posted for most sports on Thursday, April 30th. Captains who registered as a full team, must have rosters updated (all players added to your roster) prior to your first game.

Expect plenty of touches, fast breaks, and great team play each week — with a strong emphasis on keeping it fun, social, and competitive in the best way.

Whether you’re draining threes or hustling on defense, this league brings the perfect mix of intensity and good vibes every night.

🏀EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: This league requires teams to bring a basketball. Equipment rentals are not provided by SSC.
